Three men working at the site of a Super Wal-Mart under construction in Fayette County were detained for deportation proceedings during an investigation by state police at Uniontown.
Police responded to a disturbance Sunday morning at the Super 8 Motel in South Union and found nine Hispanic men who were staying there while working on the store. Police said the men gave consent to search five rooms. No weapons or contraband were found.

Police said eight of the men had photo identification. All nine had roots in Mexico, according to police.

Pablo Gonzalez-Gonzalez, 25, Mauricio Patlan-Gonzalez, 31, and Homero Patlan-Gonzalez, 23, were detained as illegal aliens. Police said the men were wanted by U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement and had apparently been through deportation proceedings previously but had not left the country.

All three were taken to Allegheny County Jail.
