Parents of boy who allegedly took gun to school face deportation

A 12-year-old boy in custody for bringing a loaded gun to his school Wednesday now has his family facing deportation after it was determined his parents are in the country illegally, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.
The Sheriff's Office aid deputies were called to Queen Creek Middle School, on Ellsworth and Queen Creek roads, after a teacher saw the boy show the gun to other students.
The teacher confiscated the 9 mm pistol, authorities said, and school officials notified the Sheriff's Office. Deputies arrived at the school around noon.
The boy told sheriff's officials that he brought the gun in his backpack because another student was picking on him, according to the Sheriff's Office. He was taken into custody and will be sent to a juvenile detention facility.
According to the Sheriff's Office the boy is one of four children whose parents are in the country illegally, meaning the family could potentially be split up.
"I have no choice but to enforce the law," said Sheriff Joe Arpaio. "Part of the family is here illegally so we are obliged to follow the law by arresting and deporting them. I know I am tough on fighting illegal immigration but I still have a heart."
The boy, born in the U.S., is a legal resident. However, his parents and 10-year-old sibling are not.
Laurie Brady of Queen Creek said she was upset with the school because the notice they sent home to parents was vague and did not explain why the boy had the gun.
Brady's 14-year-old son, an eighth-grader, started public school for the first time last week at the school.
"There's always a reason behind it," she said. "I wanna know."
James Murlless, Queen Creek Unified School District superintendent, said the school provided the parents as much information as they could.
This was the first time a student brought a gun to any school in the district, Murlless said.
Murlless said he is proud of school officials and first-year school principal Julie Niven for how well the situation was handled. "That could've gone bad but the people involved with it did such a good job and kept their heads cool," he said.
The school was not evacuated.
Murlless said he is not aware of any prior incidents involving the student.
Get them ALL out of this country!!! Anchor babies are NOT legitimate American citizens...they are mass produced knock-offs!

strip them of citizenship

All anchor babies should be stripped of their citizenship and deported along with their parents.
