    Paris centre for illegal immigrants burns; detainees evacuated

    PARIS — French officials say that illegal immigrants have been evacuated from a detention centre in Paris after a fire badly damaged the building today.

    Police say about 20 people, detainees and officers, suffered smoke inhalation and were hospitalized.

    Other detainees have been brought to the gymnasium of a nearby police school. Firefighters have brought the fire under control.

    Police say they believe the fire was linked to a protest over the death of a 41-year-old Tunisian who was held there. They say an autopsy suggests the man died of natural causes.

    I think now is the perfect time for that speech in which illegal invader advocates remind the people of Paris how wonderful illegal invaders are and how much they enrich and contribute to France.
