"I'm really proud that a young girl of Peruvian origin is highlighting the enormous problem with Latin American immigration in the United States," President Alan Garcia told reporters last week.

He said it would be scandalous if her parents were deported.
Could this turn into a "New Tactic" to avoid deportation? They'll just send their kids to school with instructions to stand up and say "My parents don't have papers."

IA parents can't be deported because of something a minor child blurts out.

The bleeding heart liberals would just love that.

The TV appearance made the pigtailed second grader a voice of the estimated 12 million immigrants living in the United States illegally
There's 12 million in CA alone. Try 35 to 50 million in the U.S.

He said it would be scandalous if her parents were deported
No it would be the right thing to do to track her parents down and deport them.

The color immediately drained from her mother's face. She ran crying to call her parents in Lima, then went into hiding, fearful of being deported.
Was the mother in the classroom? If not, how does this reporter know that the "color immediately drained from her mother's face"?

He said it would be scandalous if her parents were deported.
Doesnt the president of Peru realize that the mother and many other Peruvians are breaking our country's immigration laws?

Garcia called the Arizona law a "completely irrational response" to the illegal-immigration question, and said he would express his thoughts on the matter to President Obama during his visit to Washington.
What timing. Why is Obama letting all of the Latino countries interfere in our immigration policies? Our country is not a Latino country.
