A man in his twenties is dead and another is in jail charged with vehicular manslaughter after three passengers were ejected from a following a car crash in Colerain Township and one of them was run over and killed by other motorists.

Adrian Angeles-Garcia, 24, of Elsmere was driving between 75 and 85 miles per hour in a 60 mile per hour zone when his car spun clockwise and drove off Colerain Avenue just north of Kemper, and into a tree at 3 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The impact caused three of the passengers to be ejected from the car, court records state.

Two of the passengers landed in a wooded area and received minor injuries.

Adan Vargas Espinoza, 21, landed in the road and was struck by two vehicles.

Angeles-Garcia, whose Mexican driver’s license is expired, was led into a courtroom Monday to face Judge Fanon A. Rucker.

Rucker set his bond at $10,000.

There is an immigration hold for Angeles-Garcia.
