Philadelphia Hispanic editor: They saw us and got scared...

They saw us and got scared of us
This week, while Pope Benedict XVI called for “human kindness towards immigrants and the well being of their family members“ during his visit to the US, raids were announced in five states, resulting in the arrest of at least 280 individuals, who will most probably be deported and separated from their loved ones.
Immigration has become a much-frayed issue and, instead of moving forward, it has worsened.
Thus, it is important to reflect on what Latinos may be failing in their struggle for an immigration reform.
The proclamations made this week during his visit to Philadelphia by the Archbishop of San Antonio, Monsignor José H. Gómez, also well known for his efforts in favor of an immigration reform, are worth noting.
While many are proud of the massive marches held two years ago, in which Hispanics took the streets to demand an immigration reform, Monsignor considers that such marches scared Americans.
“They saw them (the immigrants), which they had not seen, and saw that they held another flag, not that of the US, but rather that of Mexico, in their handsâ€

- Nos vieron y se asustaron
Los vimos y nos encabronamos.
- We saw you and we got pissed off.
The poll conducted in Latin America by the Andean Group regarding the fact that Latin Americans do not support foreigners of their same race living in their country, is this one:

I beg to differ on the title of this article, it should read: "They saw us and they got MAD!" How did we let so many alien criminals get in here?
The illegal aliens refusal to obey and abide by our laws is a major sticking point. Here are other major sticking points:
1. Stealing citizens (often legal hispanics) identities.
2. Stealing social services meant for citizens only.
3. Birthright citizenship has them popping out anchors as fast as they can. Why? Anchor baby = more welfare!
4. Stealing our kids spots in colleges/universities
5. Making our health insurance costs skyrocket because they abuse hospital charity care.
6. Taking resources away from our kids in schools, thru classes taught in spanish, free lunches, etc.
7. All this WITHOUT paying for it!
8. Taking jobs from Americans and driving down our wages.
9. Bringing their "culture", such as drunk driving, raping children, dog fights, cock fights, lack of respect for neighbors, overcrowding, gang mentality, not using birth control, infestation of previously eradicated diseases such as TB, and more.
Who in the HELL do they think they are DEMANDING anything in this country?
There is a REASON why we deny certain people permission to emigrate, and all the above apply!
The padre is right about one thing, there is NO communication. Because of their inability or refusal to speak English! They MUST assimilate and if they cannot, they need to leave!Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

This newspaper is so consistently, blatantly leftist, socialist and pro-open borders in all of its editorials/opinion pages and elsewhere. I'm surprised that they mentioned that Latin American survey at all. This paper never, ever prints any crime stories or stories about deportations/arrests within its readership area if it involves Hispanics committing crimes, etc. Very rare. It really is an advocacy paper, very rarely is there any real hard news.

The proportion of support for immigration is the same in Latin America as it is here but there their politicians defend their rights and interests.
The best possible thing would be getting the Latin community members who facilitate illegal immigration to switch to instead investing in their former home communities.I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

04-23-2008, 02:23 PM #9Likewise, the only Hispanic Archbishop in the US gave some advice to those Americans who intend for Latinos to fully assimilate their culture: “Impossible.
The perfect combination would be that of a marriage in which each gives in a little to be able to cohabit. [b]“We have a lot in common. When there is communication, problems are nonexistent“, he concluded.
DUH, they come here it is their job to learn our language and speaking the same language is the only possible way to commuicate!
His words are worth analyzing for up to this point it is clear that the Hispanic Community has done something wrong.
