The city’s Commission on Human Relations alleges that the policy at Geno’s Steaks discourages customers of certain backgrounds from eating there, said Rachel Lawton, acting executive director
And who are these "customers of certain backgrounds"? Can it possibly be the people who refuse to learn English because they feel they dont have to? Grrrr! This really makes me mad!

Controversial Mason Bar Targeted By Vandals

    May 29, 2006 09:26 AM PDT

The owner of a bar who has created a stir with signs that he posted in a window is now a victim of vandalism.

Tom Ullum first posted a controversial sign that read "for service speak english". Then Ullum last week displayed another sign that read "for service, you must be legal."

Early Sunday morning, someone threw a five pound chunk of concrete through his window while customers were in his Mason bar.

Ullum then changed his sign from "you must be legal" to "might need hardhats."

He faces an August court date over the original sign. The Ohio Civil Rights Commission has ruled that the sign was discriminatory.

A hearing is scheduled for August.

Ullum says that whatever the sign reads he isn't taking it down.
