Phoenix Law Enforcement Assoc. Backs Sheriff Joe

PHOENIX - Sheriff Joe Arpaio picks up a big endorsement for his re-election campaign -- the Phoenix Law Enforcement Association is backing the Maricopa County Sheriff.

PLEA says Arpaio understands the difficulties of modern law enforcement, and the group supports the work he has done since first being elected to the position in 1992.

PLEA also says Arpaio is known for standing up for those who work for him -- especially rank-and-file officers.
