Plea deals may include cooperation in future ICE actions

Waterloo, Ia. – A federal prosecutor suggested in court this afternoon that some of the immigrants detained from last week’s Postville raid could be used in future criminal investigations as part of their plea deal.

The prosecutor, Peter Deegan Jr., said part of the deal required immigrants to “fully cooperate with the government in a criminal investigation.â€
