Police Arrest Illegal Alien and Purse Snatcher
A traffic stop leads to the arrest of a man who was in the U.S. illegally.
State Police say a trooper pulled over a car in the town of Kirkwood for an expired inspection sticker yesterday.
The driver, 47-year-old Andres Benitez, produced a false Mexican Passport and admitted he was in the U.S. without legal documents.
He was turned over to the U.S. Border Patrol for further investigation.
A Harpursville man is in the Broome County Jail without bail for snatching a woman's purse in Johnson City-- then using her debit card to steal money out of an ATM.
39 year old David Silva is charged with Burglary and Identity Theft--both felonies.
