Police charge man after shots fired

Waymer Cinto, aka Waymer Cinto-Perez and Rolando Perez, 27, of 116 Kountry Korner Lot 19, Albertville, was taken into custody Sunday at on charges of reckless endangerment, menacing and giving a false name to law enforcement.

Cinto was arrested after officers received a call of shots being fired at Kountry Korner.

Upon arrival officers' discovered that shots had been fired at another individual in the park.

The suspect gunmen, later identified as Cinto, had left the park in a vehicle with his girlfriend. Cinto’s vehicle returned to the area a short time later. Officers found it only contained Cinto’s girlfriend identified as Debbie Nailor. Cinto then returned on foot and was arrested after he was found to be in possession of marijuana.

During the investigation it was discovered that Cinto had several ID cards with different names, but all had his picture. A Guatemalan passport was also discovered.

A check of Cinto’s fingerprints through the FBI led to the discovery he had been arrested under several aliases in Florida. Immigration and Customs Enforcement [ICE] agents were contacted and a detainer was placed on Cinto while it was determined if Cinto is subject to being deported.

Cinto is currently being held in the Albertville City Jail until his status is determined.
