Police doubt slaying of girl, 8, and her parents a random cr

News sources other than this article have identified this family as Mexican Nationals, no mention if they were legal or illegal, however, they were living in a large house in a fancy neighborhood and their 17 year old son who discovered them, was living elsewhere and it wasn't said where he lived.

Other sources also said that a lot of people came and went from the house and that neighbors heard the gunshots at about 4:30 am, but the bodies weren't discovered unti 7:30 pm. It looks like nobody called 911 when they heard gunshots...

Police doubt slaying of girl, 8, and her parents a random crime

The killing Sunday of a family - including an 8-year-old girl - in their rented West Side home does not appear to be random, police said Monday.
The case is being given a high priority.
"You can't enter a person's home and kill a family and believe we won't call on all of our resources" to solve the case, said William Richards, a detective captain with the Tucson police.
The three people found slain Sunday were a man, his wife and their 8-year-old daughter.
    Dead are Francisco Javier Tanori-Marin, 44, Raphaela Pereda-Felix, 40 and 8-year-old Tania Guadalupe Tanori-Pareda.
"These guys are ruthless, extremely vicious," said Sgt. Fabian Pacheco, referring to the killing of the 8-year-old.
Referring to why the 8-year- old was slain, Richards said, "I don't know. That's just something you don't see very often.
The discovery was made by the couple's son, who went to the home in the 1800 block of North Camino Claveles around 7:40 p.m. Sunday after not being able to reach his family for much of the day, Pacheco said.
The son and a friend then went to the nearby house after finding the bodies and asked the neighbor to call police.
Pacheco said the couple's so lived with his parents from time to time. He went to school out of town, Pacheco said. He would not say where out of concern for the boy's safety.
The home is in a hilly neighborhood near North Painted Hills Road and West Ironwood Hill Drive. The area is characterized by large homes on large lots, many with dramatic mountain and city views.
Richards said Francisco Javier Tanori-Marin worked "at times" as a car painter.
A motive has not been determined in the killings, but detectives suspect there was some relationship between the family and whoever killed them, Richards said.
"We don't feel this is random," Richards said.
Richards said a search of the house turned up no drugs or drug paraphernalia.
Richards said a background investigation will be done on the victims in the hope it will lead to their associates and possibly a motive or suspect in the killings.
Neighbors did not want to talk Monday about the slayings, some citing a desire for privacy - one a concern for safety.
Police did not disclose how the three may have been killed, except to say they sustained "obvious trauma."

....a Mexican "sometimes car painter" would not be able to afford such a home....for sure this was drug or human trafficking related.

The suspects know they have nothing to fear even when they are taken into custody......after all, they will have Isabel Garcia assigned to defend them.
