Teens accused of tasing, burning, raping Norcross woman in front of son

Three teens are accused of tasing, raping and pouring boiling water on a Norcross woman while one of her children watched last month.

“Additional arrests may be forthcoming,” said Gwinnett County police Cpl. Deon Washington.

On Tuesday, Gwinnett County police arrested Norcross resident Francisco Palencia, 17, and a 15-year-old girl in connection with the crime. Palencia was booked into Gwinnett County jail at 8:39 p.m.

The girl is being held at the Rockdale Youth Detention Center.

About two weeks earlier, the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Department arrested Doraville resident Josue Ramirez-Aguilar, 19, in connection with the same crime. He was booked into Gwinnett County jail on June 15 at 1:47 p.m.

The crime the three teens are accused of began with a break-in.

A woman returned to her Norcross home after work on May 12 at 2:50 a.m., carrying her two young children, according to a police report. One was in a portable car seat, the other she carried under her arm.

When she got inside, she set the kids down, locked the front door and walked into her living room. That’s where the night’s normalcy ended.

The woman told police she could see two men wearing dark clothes and ski masks standing in her kitchen. She described one as short and skinny. The other reportedly had a tall, thick build.

“The two males were armed with tasers and approached (her),” according to the police report.

She said the men shocked her with the tasers multiple times as they pushed her in the direction of the bedroom. She said she tried to resist and tried to get back to her children.

That’s when the taller man man poured two pots of boiling water on her neck and left shoulder, according to the report and warrants. Then, the shorter man pushed her into the bedroom and demanded she take off her clothes.

“(She) complied with the male’s demands out of fear for what could be done to her children,” according to the report.

One of the kids then followed the woman and the shorter man into the bedroom. The child was forced to watch as the man raped the mother and forced her to perform sexual favors, according to warrants.

During the sexual assault, the two men talked to each other, according to the report. They eventually came to the consensus that they needed to leave the apartment.

The woman locked the door behind them and called the police.

It’s unclear precisely what roles police believe Palencia, Ramirez-Aguilar and the 15-year-old girl played in the assault. But Washington said all three have been charged with home invasion, kidnapping, rape, aggravated battery, aggravated sodomy and felony cruelty to children.

Both Palencia and Ramirez-Aguilar are being held in Gwinnett County jail without bond as of Wednesday evening.
