HOUSTON (KTRK) --

A man is charged with murder in the shooting death of a driver whose car had broken down.

On Feb. 27, at about 12:40 a.m., Carolina Barrios said she watched as a driver gunned down her husband, Oscar Reyes. The couple's car had broken down in the 11800 block of Aldine Westfield.

According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, Miguel Angel Resendez, 36, drove up behind Reyes' vehicle and honked his horn. When Reyes did not move, the suspect used his Chevrolet Tahoe to push Reyes' vehicle.

Reyes got out of his vehicle and the two began arguing, authorities say. During the argument, the suspect reportedly shot Reyes multiple times and fled the scene.

While Reyes was in the road, a light colored pickup truck ran over him and fled the scene as well.

Resendez is described as a Hispanic male, 5'10 in height and weighing 220 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Resendez's whereabouts or information about this case is asked to call the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 713-274-9100.
