Poll shows immigration resonates with voters
http://www.kold.com/Global/story.asp?S=4307702
PHOENIX A poll found that more than nine in 10 people believe a political candidate's approach to illegal immigration would be at least somewhat important in deciding their vote for governor in Arizona.
The poll by The Arizona Republic also found that nearly two-thirds called the issue very important.
Twenty-two percent said the Republican-controlled state Legislature has done enough on the issue in the past year.
Governor Janet Napolitano received a thumbs-up from 31 percent of residents.
More than half of those polled say they would support the passage of a state law to revoke the business licenses of companies caught hiring illegal immigrants.
Just one-third said the construction of a fence along the Arizona-Mexico border would be effective.
The poll of 602 registered voters has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
