PONTIAC: Rally set to boost e-verify program
Three Oakland County commissioners and state Rep. David Agema are to lead a bipartisan rally from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Monday outside the commissioners' auditorium.
The rally is to support the use of the federal e-verify program to confirm citizenship of people hired for county- and state-level businesses. Saying the hiring of illegal workers is hurting American workers, Commissioners Jim Runestad, Tim Greimel and Steven H. Schwartz are to be joined by union members and representatives from the Federation for American Immigration Reform.
The General Government committee is to consider the measure at a meeting at 9:30 a.m. that day.

In 1986 the controls should have been put in place to control the workplace. But currently the States Unemployment Offices (ESC) sent undocumented immigrants into the workplace without checking with E-Verify. Why is this?
First ESC has a lack of interest of Americans having the jobs. Corporate America has control. AND the federal government only requires verifying migrate farm workers.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

A bipartisan rally in support of Oakland County Commissioner Jim Runestad and state Rep. David Agema's efforts to require use of the federal E-verify program to stop the hiring of illegal workers on the county and state level by businesses will be held Monday, June 1, at the Oakland County Commissioners' Auditorium courtyard.
The rally will be held Monday, June 1, beginning between 8:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. The auditorium is at 1200 N. Telegraph Road, in Pontiac.
Runestad encourages all citizens to show their support of these efforts to enforce the federal immigration law. He said, “We support those businesses that hire legal workers, but it is those businesses that break the law by hiring illegal workers that we have a serious issue with. It is unpatriotic as well as poses a threat to our security in a time of war; it is unfair, unlawful and irresponsible for businesses to continue to take jobs from United States citizens.
