The Pope needs to refrain from telling governments and people of other nations how to do things, especially ours. Ours is a separation of church and state. Boehner should not have had the Pope address our Congress. That is just so wrong, I don't even know where to begin on that. Religious leaders are free of course to express their personal opinions the same as everyone else, but they are not allowed under the US Constitution or US tax law to impact public policy, influence legislation or determine the outcome of elections and there is no purpose for a Pope or any other religious person to address our Congress than to violate this separation.

So, I hope this is the last time, any leader of any religious or political organization, domestic or foreign, addresses the United States Congress. We have large facilities in our country, Trump has built massive hotels as have others with enormous conference rooms that people are free to rent out the hotel conference areas and hold a cocktail party or a forum or summit or dinner to meet with dignitaries from other countries, but not our Congress in session in our Capitol building.
