Thread: Pope: Western countries must welcome immigrants

In the United States the largest number of people here as illegal aliens are from Mexico with the motivation not being starvation but desire for a new house and car.

from it's inception,the catholic church has a dark and sinful history. the clergy murdered at the king's bidding. in recent history, they used their churches as playgrounds for pedophiles and when discovered the officials just moved them to a new hunting ground. their cash payout does not pay for their great sins. i will not take orders from these people who hide their sins behind long robes. if they want someone to take in the mexican rapists, murderers and pedophiles, let it be them. after all, they are experienced at it.

It sure does. In addition, it's surrounded by some of the worst slums you will ever see. Apparently, the pope's concern doesn't extend to the poor outside his own walls.

On the bright side, perhaps his words will be heard and acted on as much as his other words, such as birth control.

I maybe a Catholic but I do not agree with everything the church and Vatican say and plead. Sorry Pontiff, you should know God does not condone cheating, stealing and disobeying all 3 actions that illegals in the USA has done and continue to do so.

America does welcome immigrants. The USA takes in more immigrants than all of the rest of the countrys in the world combined. LEGAL IMMIGRANTS! The problem is the ones that break our laws to enter the country. These people directly steal billions of dollars from the american taxpayers. Wether it is from recieving benifits they are not entitled to or by stealing jobs from americans, it is theft. Crying about splitting up familys for deporting an illegal alien for being illegally in the country is exactly the same as crying about splitting up a family for putting a thief in jail.
