Possible Incursion by Mexican Helicopter in Roma Area

ROMA - A CHANNEL 5 NEWS viewer sent video of what appears to a Mexican military helicopter flying over the United States side of the Rio Grande.

The helicopter was spotted early Thursday morning in the Roma-Escobares area. We don’t know what the chopper was looking for. We do know there's increased violence along the U.S.-Mexico border from Reynosa to Laredo.

Mexican soldiers captured several Zetas in Nuevo Laredo on Monday, and soldiers were involved in a gunbattle with the Gulf Cartel in Reynosa on Wednesday

CHANNEL 5 NEWS called the federal government to find out if it was a Mexican incursion into the United States. Several Mexican choppers crossed into the United States over the last year. We'll let you know what we find out.
