Advocates say they hope Dobbs meets the same fate as Tancredo in 2008

America's Voice has urged Lou Dobbs to run for President.

That's right! America's Voice, the immigration advocacy group is backing Dobbs "the immigration propagandist" for President.

Frank Sharry, executive director, says Dobbs should meet a fitting fate.

“I so hope that Lou Dobbs runs for President. Because if he does, he will undoubtedly follow in the footsteps of other nativist candidates who ran for President," said Sharry.

"First, there was Pat Buchanan, who won less than 1 percent of the popular vote in 2000. Then there was Tom Tancredo, who was trounced in the Republican primaries in 2008. My guess is that Dobbs will do slightly worse than his two trailblazing buddies.â€

I just watched a video of Lou Dobbs back tracking on the issue of illegal immigration. I have had a belly full of politcians who will not face this issue head on. If Lou does not want to face it head on he will not have my support.

But Dobbs' views on immigration have so alienated us immigrants that he's going to find it a very tough sell.

He's probably going to try to straddle the fence like most politicians.

Wish people would just say what they mean and mean what they say.

Senate 1st then when we get our country back, he should run for President.

Here's why, Unfort., there are a lot of stupid people who'll only vote for a pretty face (nevermind that there's no substance--last election and many others proves that) so let's give 'em both. I say Romney and Guliani or similar. Then let Dobbs prove himself in Senate or in Romney administration and then move up.

Certain people, great people unfort. are just not electable. We need a capable conservative who is more than electable so we don't get stuck again.

Frank Sharry, Enrique Morones, Janet Murguia should run for president, so the American people can reject them and their open border ideology.

Lou did a great job on the topics given the hostile attitude of Maria Celest. The interview was of secondary importance to me as the whole thing was rigged to condemn Lou before a mainly pro-illegal alien viewer base.

The most interesting thing were the comments to the show. Many of them were by Latinos (legal and illegal) there were fair numbers who were impressed positively with Lou. Many written in Spanish painted Lou as a racist and worse. Many who saw the video were American citizens totally against illegal aliens because of negative experiences of their own.

If you have time, read some of the comments viewers posted. I think you will find them interesting.

BTW: I will support Lou Dobbs for any governmental office he chooses as he strikes me as a true patriot!

Make no mistake, lou just called for amnesty on telemundo. He used the amnesty supporters own phrase, "path to legalization". I never thought I would hear such a betrayal, such treachery from this man whom I previously had great respect. This is a sad day for our movement, but better to know now than support him for high office. This hurts me to say, but please do not patronize this betrayer's website or store. Please do not contribute to this sellouts campaigns for office. Lou I am still pulling the knife out of my back. Anybody who doesn't believe me please listen to the full telemundo interview carefully and you will hear for yourself the words of a Benjamin Arnold.

Reaching out to Hispanics will no doubt cause Dobbs to lose support among conservatives. Bad move.
