INDIANTOWN — The president of Guatemala will visit this rural village Saturday to meet with some of the many residents who trace their roots to the small Central American country.

This is the first time that a seated president of a foreign country has made a formal visit to Indiantown.

President Oscar Berger will arrive Saturday afternoon to talk to American-born young people of Guatemalan descent and with others living and working in Indiantown.

The visit to Indiantown will complete a day that will begin with a visit to the El Sol Jupiter Resource Center in Jupiter where Berger will have private talks with leaders of the Guatemalan community and with mayors from Jupiter, Lake Worth, Stuart and West Palm Beach. Berger will meet privately with these groups from about 11 a.m. until about 2 p.m., then publicly address the entire group.

Maybe because the president of mexico is sooo good at telling us what to do with mexican illegals the president of guatemala thought he needed to get in on it too.
