Prostitution Sting Leads To 3 Arrests
April 9, 2008 - 10:33am

Detectives from the Leesburg Police Department arrested three foreign nationals in northeastern Leesburg for prostitution-related charges on April 3.

The arrests were the result of a prostitution sting, led by the Leesburg Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, in which undercover officers from the team arranged for services of a prostitute.

The arrests were made near Fort Evans Road.

The suspects, Jose Alberto Luengas-Brito, Abraham Mundo-Gavidia and Erika Rachel Rincon-Urbi, were operating out of Maryland and had no known ties to Leesburg or Loudoun County, according to the police.

Luengas-Brito, 22, a citizen of Mexico, was charged with aiding prostitution, receiving money from the earnings of a prostitute, using a motor vehicle to promote prostitution and driving without a valid operator’s license.

The automobile in question was seized by the police, said Lt. Wes Thompson of the Leesburg Police Department.

Mundo-Gavidia, 21, a citizen of El Salvador, was charged with aiding prostitution and receiving money from the earnings of a prostitute.

Rincon-Urbi, 18, a citizen of the Dominican Republic, was charged with prostitution.

The three subjects are being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Facility on Sycolin Road. None has valid immigration status. Immigration and Customs Enforcement issued detainers against all three suspects.

These arrests are the second set of prostitution arrests in Leesburg in recent months.

In February, Ismael Antonio-Garcia, 27, of Leesburg, and Marina Aguirre-Gonzalez, 21, who has no fixed address, were arrested on prostitution-related charges.

Antonio-Garcia was accused of recruiting women for prostitution and driving them around to customers he had solicited, said Leesburg Police Department spokesman Lt. Jeff Dube said.

Aguirre-Gonzalez was charged with two counts of prostitution. The two suspects were charged with two counts each of aiding prostitution, using a motor vehicle to promote prostitution and receiving money from a prostitute.

At the time of the February arrests, detectives were trying to identify others involved, looking for suspects in Warren County and in Maryland, where the current suspects are said to be based out of.

This investigation is still ongoing, police said.

Similarly, both sets of arrests were made in northeastern Leesburg.

Police could not comment on a connection between the two sets of prostitution arrests because the investigation is ongoing, said Thompson.
