Lone Protester- A Time for Change, America’s Independent Party

There have been a lot of articles lately about disgusted conservatives leaving the Republican Party in huge numbers. People are mad at the failure of our leaders to step forward and solve this country’s problems and instead allow them to fester. Millions of us have given up on our politicians, who instead of leading, enrich themselves at our expense, forget about the US Constitution, and begin to think that they own the office that we gave them. This country is being torn apart by numerous problems, the war on terror, fuel prices, social security, foreign trade, illegal immigration and an entire host of others. We need leaders with fresh ideas because the old ones are out of date. We need leaders that listen to us instead of the special interest. Just because a politician can outspend his opponent does not mean that his ideas are best. And in the process our political system has become corrupted.

There is a new party starting up. It is called America’s Independent Party and I invite you to find out about them and read about their platform. http://www.selfgovernment.us/aip/. They advocate for American Principles and a return to constitutional law and government. A government of the people instead of the special interest.

I had the distinct privilege of participating in a conference call with Alan Keyes and about 50 other conservative leaders Tuesday night. To listen to Mr. Keyes dissect the first and second amendments is an eye opening experience. It is as if he was there with the founders when they were writing that document. In my opinion, Alan Keyes is the epitome of a Ronald Reagan conservative and he has been ignored by us for too long. Alan Keyes is the leader that conservatives have been looking for the last year. He is rock solid in his beliefs, a man of honor and more presidential than any of the current candidates for that office. http://www.americasrevival.com/.

Alan Keyes is America’s Independent Party candidate for president. The party is starting from the grassroots and wants candidates for office at the local, state and federal level. To get on the ballot in 40 states they need 10,000 signatures in each one. Each state gets to nominate a selectee for vice president and they are looking for average American people. Texas has chosen Gilmer Hernandez, Michigan has selected a truck driver, Colorado has chosen a parent of one of the kids slain at Columbine. And last but not least, I have the distinct honor of being the candidate from South Carolina. I am still stunned by the news but I am ready to do what is necessary to help fix my country.

I encourage every one of you to find out about America’s Independent Party and Alan Keyes. Alan Keyes stands for the American People and a return to constitutional government. Isn’t that exactly what we have been looking for all the time?

The Alan Keyes campaign is the only truly pro-God, pro-American constitutionalist movement in this critical year for America's survival.

With our nation threatened by internal treason preventing us from accessing and refining God's abundant gifts in oil, natural gas, shale, coal, hydroelectric, and nuclear resources unparalleled on earth, menaced by open borders, anti-enforcement policies, political imprisonment of border guardians who dare do their jobs, and the resultant undoubted presence of WMDs, on the verge of unprecedented restricitons of free speech, via McCain-Feingold extension to the Internet and Internet to the UN, thought crimes bills, "Fairness" Doctrines, and Grassroot Lobbying "reform," on the brink of entry into a one world government by way of NAFTA, CAFTA, NAU, SPP, TTC, UNCLOS, "Patriot" Acts, Real ID cards, and more, and about to endure SCOTUS appointments that will tip that court's balance and thus render us powerless to self govern, it's now or never.

Alan Keyes is a God fearing traditionalist conservative Christian constitutionalist who is perhaps America's most brilliant statesman and orator, and he's running. He has huge name recognition and favorability ratings. At my church - which generally steers clear of politics - our pastor signed joyfully, and practically everybody else has signed or will sign.

We have a chance to get Dr Keyes - under either the Independent, America's Independent Party, or various other umbrellas - on the ballot of about 40 states, including SC, and register him as an official write-in candidate in the others.

Our deadline in SC is noon of July 15th, meaning we have to get our work done by the day before that. We currently need:
• petition signers
• petition gatherers
• county chairmen throughout the state
• precinct leaders throughout the state
• electors
• pro bono legal representation (possibly)
• 10,000 petition signatures, with a cushion, hopefully of 5,000, pending rejections
• contacts with local talk show stations
• your fervent prayers
I have valid petitions I can get out to you, suitable for copying (Staples charges 8¢ per). Requirements:
• legal size - 8½ by 14
• all signatures on any given petition must be from a single county - named at the top
• 12 signatories per petition
• any errors can be scratched out with a line through each field
• "precinct" can be left blank if signers don't know theirs
• either social or voter registration numbers must be given - in some cases, where they don't know, petition gatherers can call singer later to get this info
• name, signature, phone, address
• filled petitions to me @ 9 Cape Charles Ct, Greenville, SC 29615 by 7/13 (to give a slight cushion) if at all possible; I can also arrange to meet to pick up
Please pray and search deep in your soul and participate in this drive to whatever extent you can. There is no tomorrow, Americans. This is our last hope to maintain a free, prosperous America, in any sense of those words.

I like Alan Keyes. I never cared what color our president is and am not opposed to voting for a black man. I just don't like Obama. His run has been hipocritical and racial. It is weird to me that he says he can bring together races, but it is just the opposit. Some black people that would not vote for him becasue of his views, if he was white, are going to vote for him BECAUSE he is black. Even throught I think Obama and his white are extremely racist, I think he will be like every other black politician. The only time they want to really represent them is when they can make a name for themselves. I read in many blogs how alot of black people are saying now we can see what it is like and we'll get ours.
So THEY are blinded by color. Not his views but what they think he will do for them and against white people.

We've got some third party choices this year, that's for sure. There's also Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr. Out of all of them I think I like Barr the best. I've read some of articles of his and I liked what he had to say.
