    He (meaning Cruz) said he knew two people, a 40-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, who died near the border in Arizona in 2002.
    So? they shouldn't have been crossing the border illegally. Who knows how many stupid criminals are out in the desert baking in the sun who haven't been found yet? I consider them litter and an just as much an environmental hazard as the human waste, plastic, cardboard, clothing and other junk they leave behind as they cross. They don't belong here. Their junk doesn't belong here. And I stopped having sympathy a long time ago.
