    Mexican Delegation Seek Kansas City's Help to Grow Companies, JobsBusiness interests include everything from auto parts to furniture, from pet foods to plastics, and from tourism to the arts.



    Kansas City, Mo. - infoZine - A 13-member delegation from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico is in Kansas City through today (Sept. 6) to connect with area businesses.

    The delegation will visit one-on-one with like businesses in the area and also will be involved in various city tours focused on trade, transportation and communication. Organizing the sessions are Kansas City's Mexico Business Development Office and the City Manager's International Affairs and Trade Office.

    "We also have a lot of support from our partners," said Jose Somoza, general manager of the Kansas City-Mexico Office. "Collaborative efforts with the state as well as with Kansas City officials and our local business partners will make the entire mission worthwhile for our business delegates."

    Opening day sessions today are being held at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, the Cordish Company and the SubTropolis at Hunt Midwest. Tomorrow, a number of local companies will come to the Kansas City-Mexico Business Development Office where they will meet individually and in groups with their Mexican counterparts.

    "We want to provide every opportunity for these companies to have business discussions with people in our area who are at the heart of business expansion in industries similar to those of our visitors," Somoza said. "It’s all about job creation and company growth here and in Mexico."

    Along with opportunities to meet with businesses to develop relationships, the Mexican delegation will tour various businesses in the city. The Hunt Midwest SubTropolis and its array of underground storage facilities will be featured. The Press Pavilion at the Kansas City Star also is offering a tour to the delegation. The Mexican Consulate will provide a tour of their facilities and an opportunity to visit with Consul Everado Suarez.

    First they shipped their illegals here, now they want to build their businesses in our country too. Folks, if we don't figure out a way stop this unionization with Mexico soon, it's going to be too late! The more entrenched they get into our society, the more our economy will begin to mirror theirs! Don't worry though, there will be enough low-wage paying jobs for everyone.
