ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT | Says she doesn't fear arrest on 1st trip away from sanctuary

    RE : ARRELLANO,
    WAIT FOR IT............
    THERE WILL BE REPERCUSIONS

''From the time I took sanctuary, the possibility has existed that they arrest me in the place and time they want,'' she said in Spanish. ''I only have two choices. I either go to my country, Mexico, or stay and keep fighting. I decided to stay and fight.''

Just who in the hell do these people think they are, anyway? Their gall absolutely knows no bounds!!!!!

Elvira is a criminal and she is exactly where she belongs......behind bars and on her way back to her country. If they love her so much, they can all just go with her

Chicago protesters gather after immigration activist arrested in L.A.

    Associated Press - August 19, 2007 10:24 PM ET

CHICAGO (AP) - More than 30 people are gathered outside a U.S. Immigration office in downtown Chicago to protest the arrest of an illegal immigrant who had sought sanctuary in a Chicago church.

Immigration authorities confirm they arrested Elvira Arellano (el-VEE'-ruh ah-ray-AH'-noh) this afternoon in Los Angeles.

The agency says she's being processed for removal to Mexico based upon a deportation order originally issued by a federal judge in 1997.

In Chicago, protesters are huddled around a small statue of the Virgin Mary, chanting, beating drums, and reciting the Lord's Prayer. One is holding a placard with a picture of Arellano's son.

Arellano had sought refuge in the Adalberto United Methodist Church to avoid being separated from her 8-year-old son.

She left the church for the first time in a year to campaign for immigration reform in Los Angeles this weekend.

Elvira Arellano's supporters hold prayer vigil

    Associated Press - August 20, 2007 1:24 AM ET

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Activists gathered to sing and pray outside of the Federal Detention Center in downtown Los Angeles tonight in support of the woman who was arrested by immigration authorities earlier today.

Elvira Arellano, an illegal immigrant from Mexico, escaped deportation by holing up in a Chicago church for the past year. She was detained this afternoon as she left at a downtown church.

In 1997 Arellano was arrested for working under a false social security number at Chicago's O'Hare Airport.

Her fight to remain in the country with her 8-year-old son - an American citizen - helped kick off the New Sanctuary Movement, which is recruiting churches around the country to harbor illegal immigrants and encourage immigration reform.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement office as well as Capital Police in Washingtin D.C. to assist in ensuring the apprehension of ... fugitive from justice Elvira Arellano upon her flight from the Chicago church where she hid for one year. Should ICE not have apprehended Elvira Arellano before her trip to Washington D.C. they were informed that Michelle Dallacroce, President and Founder of Mothers Against Illegal Aliens along with Ted Hayes were organizing a citizens arrest?...
