LONG BEACH - On December 15, 2020 at about 4:00 p.m., Regional Coordinating Mechanism (ReCoM) partners intercepted a small, open bowed fishing vessel from Mexico (“panga”) with 23 individuals aboard on the beach in Long Beach, CA.
The subjects, 21 males and two females, including two juveniles, all claimed to be citizens and nationals of Mexico.
The Regional Coordinating Mechanism (ReCoM) is comprised of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), CBP’s Air and Marine Operations (AMO), Office of Field Operations (OFO), U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), Office of Intelligence, and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) with state and local law enforcement partners.
