REP GRIJALVA's (Az) Bill Against Border Fence

    American Patrol

Arizona Rep. Raul Grijalva has introduced legislation aimed at restricting the use of fencing along the border with Mexico. Titled the Border Conservation and Security Act of 2007, the bill , HR 2593, sets border security priorities such that physical fencing would be the last resort, not the primary means of border control.

Grijalva, a former member of MEChA, has fought against those who call for tighter border controls.

"Some say the border fence won't work, but Grijalva's bill tells me that he and his friends in Mexico fear it most," said Glenn Spencer of American Patrol.

I'm not surprised by Grijalva's bill, not one bit. That to which you fear the most is normally what you'll fight against the hardest.

Build Duncan Hunter's double-layered border fence now!

District 7 is the second largest Congressional district in Arizona. Out of the 435 Congressional districts, it is the 26th largest in land area, covering 22,872 square miles. This is a land area larger than seven individual states, and larger than Rhode Island, Delaware, Hawai’i, Connecticut and New Jersey combined. The southern boundary of District 7 coincides with 300 miles of the US/Mexico border. Only Texas’ 23rd district has a longer stretch of the southern border.

The urban center of District 7 contains the central, south and west sides of the city of Tucson. The population within the district is predominantly working-class families, from a variety of ethnic and racial backgrounds. The majority of Tucson’s Hispanic, urban Native American and African-American residents live in the 7th congressional district.

The district extends south to the Mexican border encompassing Nogales, AZ, then west to the Arizona/California border to include all of Yuma County. The district line then follows the Colorado River north to the communities of Parker and Parker Strip within La Paz County, and finally stretches east to Maricopa County’s West Valley.

District 7 is also home to 7 sovereign nations: the Ak-Chin, Cocopah, Colorado River Indian Tribes, Gila River, Pascua Yaqui, Quechan, and Tohono O'odham. District 7 has both the oldest reservation in Arizona as well as the newest.

Grijalva was a member of Mecha when he was in school. He went to school late in life.

Elected to Congress in November, 2002
Arizona, meet your new Mechista Congressman
Arizona congressman-elect Raul Grijalva is a former member of MEChA, according to a 1997 article in the Arizona Daily Wildcat. Did voters know that Grijalva is or was involved with an anti-American seditionist organization? Will he denounce MEChA now that he's headed to Washington? Will he represent MEChA viewpoints (rabidly anti-American) or the interests of the American people when he gets there? -- Grijalva also isn't happy about "civilian patrols" whose members are seeking to deter illegal immigration, and is in agreement with meddlesome Mexicans that an investigation is needed into activities of Americans (not illegal aliens and their cheerleaders). I believe he can pass all the state laws he wants but if the feds decide they need a fence there in order to secure the border it will trump his state law!

Sounds like another one who needs to be kicked out of office!
