Rep. Steve King: Hispanic vote not GOP's biggest problem

By Cameron Joseph - 11/15/12 08:39 AM ET
    The Hill

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) believes the GOP's big loss with Hispanic voters isn't its biggest electoral problem.

When asked on Wednesday if it was time to move on comprehensive immigration reform, King reiterated his opposition to the idea — and said Republicans' problems came with other groups as well.

"We saw a marginal loss of the Hispanic vote, so people say we can't build a coalition again unless we make those accommodations," he said, according to Slate. "We should look at what happened with the conservatives who stay home. What happened with the biggest gender gap in history? What happened with the Ron Paul coalition, and the libertarians?"

King has long been an opponent of a broad-based immigration overhaul, and if Congress moves on one, many expect him to be a key player working against it.

I am tired of being forced to vote "for the lesser of two evils". I am sick of having unacceptable candidates shoved down my throat,(eg:Gnewt Gingras, Romney) what happened to TRUE Conservatives?

    ----------------------------------------------------

King, like any other Conservative with four brain cells to rub together, knows very well that if the (liberal) Republicans join the (liberal) Democrats and grant amnesty to 20+ million illegal aliens, it will permanently alter the course of the United States, put it on the irreversible path to Balkanization, and forever snuff both the U.S. Constitution and any remaining political opposition to having America finally ending as a Communist State.

In short, amnestying gives the Democrats a minimum of 10 million new socialist voters in 2014, and 20 million in 2016. Add that to the already 50 million Mexicans already here and glance down to Mexico City for a reflection of what this country will be like in LESS THAN TEN YEARS.

The gender gap dwarfed the Hispanic vote increase. Not even close.

Yep. The GOP has some thinking to do. Can they, in good conscience, develop a platform with broad appeal, or will they have to resign themselves to being a loyal opposition? I don't know the answer to that question, but I do know that pandering to illegals will only enlarge the Democrat majority.

Maybe the Repubs just need to sober up. 'Cause the panderers are suggesting that the GOP just commit political suicide and get it over with.
