REPORT: Draft of Executive Order Leaked That Would Deport Immigrants on Welfare

A liberal newspaper claims it has obtained copies of two of President Donald Trump’s upcoming executive orders that if implemented would once and for all stop immigrants from leeching off the American taxpayer.

Obtained by The Washington Post, the orders would reportedly “deny admission to any alien who is likely to become a public charge” and set up standards for “determining whether an alien is deportable … for having become a public charge within five years of entry.”

The underlying goal would be to make the U.S. immigration system more “merit-based,” so those with the potential to contribute to the country would be welcome, whereas those more likely to be a burden to the American taxpayer would be kept out.

According to New York magazine, the order would also “bar undocumented immigrants from accessing the child tax credit, even when their children are U.S. citizens,” which would be a huge blow to illegal immigrant families hoping to cash in on their anchor babies.

Liberals have of course already begun complaining about these potential orders, arguing for example that immigrants use less welfare than the general populace. But this is a moot point.

The American people want only the best and brightest immigrating to America. Now suppose a new immigrant arrives in the U.S. and winds up on welfare within the first two years. What does that say about him? It says that he is not the best and brightest. Not even close.

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, in 2012 approximately 51 percent of all immigrant households collected welfare. This is a problem. A lot of American households also collect welfare, and that is a problem as well.
But why then would the American people want to exacerbate the problem by adding more people to the dole?

The simple fact is that as a sovereign nation, the United States reserves the right to demand the very best from anyone who aspires to live here. It is a fact that the U.S. actually has much more lenient immigration policies than a large number of Western countries that liberals profess to admire. Try immigrating to Canada or Western Europe if you don’t believe it.

If an immigrant works hard, obtains citizenship and leads a good life but is later laid off and needs to collect welfare for a bit, that’s one thing. But when someone immigrates here and then immediately boards the welfare train, that is another — and it’s a problem that President Trump hopes to finally resolve.

Yes, that's right! Trump said this over and over and over again during the campaign at his rallies and speeches. He's deporting criminals, visa over-stays and "public charges", i. e., people on welfare as high priority deportations.

Does anyone actually think any other country in the world would accept people that automatic sign up for government assistance and get it. Most other countries have laws that are followed, you cannot go to any other country in the world looking for employment including Big Mouth Mexico. You need a bank roll or income from retirement then they will accept you and your money. It is called proof that you can support yourself in their country!

E-verify the Government Benefits and 2016 Tax Refunds. If they are collecting any benefits or refunds and they are illegals simply CUT THEM OFF and mail them a Notice of Termination.

No illegal alien should be able to receive Government Benefits on behalf of a US Citizen, whether that citizen is a minor or otherwise. Stop the Federal Government and the States from aiding and abetting illegal aliens.

The illegal parents are the guardians and custodians of their minor children, not US taxpayers, deport the whole family unit.

    They will self-deport.

Illegal Immigrants Eligible for Up To Eight Refundable Tax Credits

Expert: Tax credits for those here illegally amount to more than $5 billion a year

Illegal immigrants are eligible to claim up to eight refundable tax credits under federal law, according to a report from the Congressional Research Service.

One of the tax credits available to illegal immigrants under the Internal Revenue Code is the additional child tax credit, which allows families with children to reduce their tax liability by $1,000 per child. If the value exceeds the tax liability they owe, the family receives a refund for the difference.

“The Tax Inspector General of Treasury says that the extra child tax credit, in a single year, doles out $4.2 billion a year to illegals,” said David North, a fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies. “Based on that number I would assume that other tax credits for illegals runs well over $5 billion a year.”

In addition, illegal immigrants are eligible for the earned income tax credit, which allows low-income families to receive a refundable tax credit even if they do not owe any taxes.

They are also eligible for the American Opportunity Tax Credit, which is a tax credit for tuition, and the Health Coverage Tax Credit, which is a tax credit for insurance costs. Undocumented immigrants can also receive a tax credit for tax withheld on wages, for fuel excise taxes, any overpayment of taxes, and tax withheld at source for nonresident aliens and foreign corporations.

Refundable credits can be larger than an individual’s tax liability, which means that illegal immigrants may receive the difference as a cash payment from the IRS. Nothing in the Internal Revenue Code prohibits illegal immigrants from receiving these tax credits.

“Speaking generally, the Treasury Department is as casual about the negative impacts of illegal aliens as are other parts of the Obama administration, but with a twist,” says North. “Only the Treasury pays illegal aliens to stay largely through the various refundable tax credits.”

“If the IRS were not grinding out billions in refunds to the illegals, some would—without any other pressure—decide to go home,” North said. “And the end to these payments would also meet another goal—more money to pay off the national debt.”

“Congress could do something about this,” said North. “Treasury could do something, but neither have.”

    UPDATE 4:44 P.M.:
An earlier version of this post quoted David North as saying tax credits for illegal immigrants amount to more than $10 billion a year. North estimates the tax credits run over $5 billion a year.

'Amnesty Bonuses': Illegals May Be Eligible for Earned Income Tax Credit

By Melanie Batley | Friday, 06 Feb 2015 10:50 AM

President Barack Obama's executive action on immigration that temporarily allows up to 5 million illegal immigrants avoid deportation may have opened the door to giving them access to "amnesty bonuses."

According to The Weekly Standard, a recent Homeland Security Committee hearing on immigration uncovered that illegal immigrants with deferred status may be eligible to receive the Earned Income Tax Credit and could be able to file an amended tax return for up to the last three tax years, possibly receiving as much as $24,000 in tax credits.

"The law makes a social security number a requirement of eligibility to receive the earned income credit," Eileen O'Connor, a tax lawyer and former head of the tax division of the Justice Department, said at a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee.

"But in 1999, the Chief Counsel's office of the IRS ruled (in a non-binding, non-precedential way, but no one but the IRS pays attention to those disclaimers) that when a person receives a social security number, he can file amended returns to claim the credit for the three preceding years during which he did not.

"The logic is puzzling: the credit is not available if you don't have a social security number, but you can receive it retroactively for years during which you did not qualify for it because you didn't have a social security number."

Nebraska GOP Sen. Ben Sasse and Wisconsin GOP Sen. Ron Johnson have written to the inspector general of the Treasury Department to get further confirmation about what benefits the law might afford to illegal immigrants, the Standard reported.

Sasse has said the possible loophole amounts to "amnesty bonuses."

"By offering illegal aliens new payments under the Earned Income Tax Credit, the IRS may encourage fraud from those claiming children living in other countries.

"The administration may have blown open the doors for fraud with amnesty bonuses of more than $24,000 to those who receive deferred action," Sasse said in the statement, according to the Standard.

"This is basic economics: if you want more of something, you subsidize it. By subsidizing illegal entry with four years' worth of new tax credits, the IRS would promote lawlessness. This program severely undermines the White House's lip-service to enforcing the law and would increase the burden on law-abiding taxpayers."

In his own statement, Johnson, chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, reiterated Sasse's concerns.

"Non-U.S. citizens who qualify for President Obama's temporary deferred actions will now be eligible to receive permanent Social Security numbers. A Social Security number is the key that opens a whole treasure chest of benefits, including significant tax credits," Johnson said, according to the Standard.

"Most notably, qualifying applicants for the president's programs can now claim thousands — even tens of thousands — of dollars in payments from the Earned Income Tax Credit and, for some, the Additional Child Tax Credit. These two programs, which cost taxpayers $89.6 billion in 2013, were responsible for $21 billion in improper, potentially fraudulent payments that same year.

"Americans deserve to know where their taxpayer dollars are being spent and whether the Internal Revenue Service is failing to protect them from improper payments."

    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.
