Midday Business Report: 18.9M new jobs

    By DIANE STAFFORD

Every two years, the U.S. Department of Labor releases its projections about future job and industry growth, and today’s the day.

Looking out through 2014, the department’s Bureau of Labor Statistics says, total employment is expected to increase by 18.9 million jobs. That’s up from the increase of 16.4 million during the 1994-2004 decade.

(The report was issued the same day the department said job losses related to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita have climbed to 599,7000. See story below in Economic News.)

Service jobs will continue to account for the lion’s share of job growth, especially in educational services, health care and social assistance, the bureau reported.

Construction jobs are expected to grow at a slower pace than in the previous 10 years, and manufacturing positions will decline by about 5 percent, according to projections. That decline is an improvement, though; manufacturing jobs slumped 16 percent over the 1994-2004 period.

You can not believe ONE WORD coming out of the US Department of Labor.

With 38 FTA's, signed by this Wackident compare to the 1 FTA we had in the previous decade, we will lose many times more manufacturing jobs under 38 FTA's than we lost under 1 FTA.

They just said that because they saw the Lou Dobbs poll that of the four issues of concern, over 50% said broken borders was their top issue and 36% said Loss of Manufacturing Jobs was their top issue.

See...the President comes out immediately thereafter with his "I'll secure the border (wink wink) if you'll give me a Flood the Nation Open Borders Guest Worker Program That's Really a Permanent Resident Program" and then:

Chao, says...."oh, First Son (that's what she calls the President--GAG ME!!) please let me take care of that 36%. I can lie lie lie with all my labor statistics I never have to prove up to anyone or even explain the "creative" "flexible" and "dynamic" methodology I use to make any report you want look believable."

NOT SO FAST, SISTA!! You can't fool US anymore, because We've got your number on numbers!!
