The Bureau of Land Management recently released a report that outlines the damages on lands in southern Arizona caused by illegal immigration. Trash is a significant problem.

BISBEE — It’s a long-standing concern of border-security proponents: Illegal immigration and smuggling cause significant environmental damage, says a report recently released by the Bureau of Land Management.

The annual report for fiscal 2006 details efforts by the bureau and partner organizations to mitigate the impacts on lands in Southern Arizona.

“Tremendous numbers of people and organizations are doing work. We kind of want to let people know what we are doing and what kind of project work is going on,â€

Isn't it funny how you don't hear about this from all the tree huggin' groups. But yet they are very concerned about how birds may be affected by a 14 ft wall. GIMMIE A BREAK!
You environmentalists really think a bird won't see a wall and fly OVER IT? BIRDS DO FLY AT HIGH ALTITUDES YOU KNOW!!!
Obviously the environmentalists groups are getting paid by OBL groups to look the other way on this one as well. That is just my opinion, but it fits the facts.
I've yet to hear one thing on the habitats being destroyed by lay up sites from environmentalist groups. But of course, they also believe we humans are causing global warming also. What a joke...

Yes, there would be environmental consequences in building the fence, but, as the images clearly show, there are some environmental consequences in allowing things to remain - as in the status quo...

Where are all the environmental groups in cleaning this up? Apparently, you don't want the fence built, but are uninterested in cleaning up the hundreds of tons of human-created waste dumped in these areas every year...

"Homo sapiens.... garbage species?" (ooh, the words in this case have a double meaning I didn't think about until now...!)

Maybe somewhere along the line, someone will come up with a program to make the illegals clean up that mess that they made while illegally crossing the border. Its their mess. Let them clean it up. Every illegal immigrant in this country is responsible for that filth.
