Agents find meth at mobile home park in Collinsville

COLLINSVILLE - Five men are being held in the DeKalb County jail in Fort Payne after a raid Monday in a Collinsville mobile home park, where drug enforcement agents found about five pounds of methamphetamine.

Gabriel Ramirez Rodriquez, 20, was charged with trafficking and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, Sheriff Jimmy Harris said in a statement Tuesday.

Agents also arrested Rodriquez and four other men on an immigration detainer from the federal Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, he said. The men were found in two mobile homes.

Along with Rodriquez, being held on detainers are Julian Penaloza Garcia, 23; Fidel Hernandez Santana, 21; Quienere Gomez, 22; and Jose Tores Ramirez, 28, all of Collinsville.

Harris said the arrests were made about 4:30 p.m. after a six-month investigation that also involved the DeKalb County Drug Task Force, the Marshall County Drug Task Force, the Albertville Police Department Narcotics Unit and the Jackson County Sheriff's Department.
