    Republican reaction to Dobbs rumor speaks for itself

    If you haven't heard the rumor, here it is: CNN's Lou Dobb's is considering running for Governor of New Jersey. A Sussex County resident, Dobbs is known for his outspoken stance against illegal immigration, "free" trade agreements and his lambasting of both political parties.

    That's why I found the reaction from State Republican Chairman Tom Wilson surprising. Wilson said that if Dobbs is serious about running for Governor, he should register as a Republican. Wilson apparently doesn't watch Dobb's TV show. His criticism of both parties had him being touted as an Independent candidate for President. He also wrote a book called Independents Day. To register as a Republican would make him a hypocrite of giant proportion.

    David Norcross, Republican National Committe member, said: "Dobbs just ought to stick to raising hell on issues on his TV show and leave New Jersey alone." I found that quote interesting in light of the fact that an 84 year old Senator from NJ will probably win re-election beacause the Republican party in this state is so weak. It's also been a while since the GOP won a gubernatorial election or controlled the Statehouse.

    Dobbs would have to run as an independent, always a tough road to hoe. And New Jersey is probably not suited for his "wacky" views on border security and fiscal responsibility. No, we are doing just fine without Lou interfering and shaking things up.

    What's the debt? At least $32 billion? Probably double or triple that amount. Property taxes, no problem; Corruption? Never heard of it;

    No, stay away Lou; your kind is not welcome here.

    Maybe it is time for NJ to make a change...especially with what I have heard of that state....but hey, keep doing the same stupid things and calling it change...sounds like Obama, change, change, change yet he never explains what his definition of change is.
