Former Agriprocessors human resources manager pleads guilty
The Gazette
A former Agriprocessors human resource manager pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court to conspiracy to harbor illegal immigrants for financial gain and knowingly accepting forged or counterfeit resident cards.
Elizabeth Billmeyer, 48, of Postville was charged with the two felony charges last month stemming from the May 12 immigration raid at Agriprocessors in Postville.
Billmeyer admitted in court during at least five years before the raid, two or more officials or employees at the plant agreed to harbor illegal immigrants and she voluntarily and intentionally joined in the agreement.
She also admitted to knowingly accepting resident cards that were forged or counterfeit.
A sentencing date hasn't been set for Billmeyer at this time. The maximum penalty for the two charges is 20 years in prison and a $500,000 fine.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Pete Deegan said based on the sentencing guidelines, Billmeyer faces a possible two and a half to three years in prison. The judge has the discretion to go up or down in the guidelines.

US Border Patrol agents get sentenced to 10 and 12 years in prison, but the pond scum hiring illegal aliens, abusing them, hiring children, molesting them, cheating them on pay and over-time, cheating hundreds of American Workers out of employment they desperately need... is 2 to 3 years? They tried to send Ted Stevens to prison for the rest of his life for failing to report a loaned vibrating chair as a "gift'.
These US attorneys make me want to puke.A Nation Without Borders Is Not A Nation - Ronald Reagan
