    The results are in....

The results are in. The proposed City of Fremont ordinance to 'ban the hiring of illegal immigrants and to deny the same people housing in Fremont' has PASSED! The margins of victory for the people of Fremont was 58% to 42%. This happened in spite of the fact the Fremont City Council spent huge amounts of money for 2 years to deny the Fremont people a vote on this issue. Then the Nebraska League of Municipalities contributed $25,000 to defeat the ordinance election (wake up folks, that is your tax dollars at work! FOR WHAT?). This coupled with organizations like U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Fremont local church pastors/spouses, ACLU, Appleseed, etc all supporting the defeat of this ordinance. Yet the people in Fremont were not fooled into supporting more tyranny from their city government and progressive groups.

What city in Nebraska will be next? Towns like Grand Island, Hastings, Lexington, Schuyler, and Omaha are likely new areas where the ordinance may be proposed to the people. Hopefully our Nebraska Legislature will get the message that it's people are sick of their inaction on illegal immigration and will do something alike Arizona's Senate Bill 1070.

We need to give gratitude to the people of faith that showed their principles over the opposition's privileges. The chief petitioners still are in need of contributions to defray the expenses of this cause. The immediate financial goal is $1000.00. Call John Wiegert at 402-720-8357 (Fremont, NE) on details to where to mail your donations. Please remember your community may be next to do this ordinance and may also need financial support.

This issue is far from being over. Corporate greed and political privileged people have not supported principle for some time. Lobbyists and immoral legislature people have perpetuated this mess. At least we have a state governor that is on the side of the LAW! He can also use some support by us leaning hard on our state senators for them to do the right thing.

    Congratulations

Congratulations to the people there as not only have they made a courageous and inspiring decision, but have also set into motion events that will make work/jobs available to American citizens in that area...

Way to go guys. You have helped your own community and inadvertantly the rest of the entire country...

God Bless the people of Fremont

Congratulations to the courageous people of Fremont! Let's just hope the courts don't shoot them down. Our team has had poor luck with the city level enforcement initiatives in the courts while our state level efforts have survived challenge.
