CBP Officers in Lukeville Seize Meth Valued in Excess of $175,000

Lukeville, Ariz. - A 22-year-old woman was arrested yesterday at the Lukeville port for attempting to smuggle more than 11 pounds of methamphetamine, valued in excess of $175,000, into the United States.Customs and Border Protection officers referred Aydalid Albarez Andrade for a secondary inspection of the Ford F-150 truck she was driving. Smuggler Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison

Tucson, Ariz. - Joaquin Villaseñor-Chavez, a 27-year-old man from Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico, was convicted in U.S. District Court Monday on one count of transporting an illegal alien for profit which resulted in death and 10 counts of conspiracy to bring in and transport an illegal alien for profit. Joint Patrol Rescues Female From Detroit River

Detroit - On Saturday, August 18, a female subject attempted suicide by jumping off of the McArthur Bridge, which links Belle Isle Park to Detroit, Michigan. A Border Patrol agent patrolling with the Wayne County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident and together they were able to pull her from the water. (more)

El Paso Sector CBP U.S. Border Patrol Agents Nab Suspected Killer

Lordsburg, N.M. - U.S. Border Patrol El Paso Sector agents working in the Lordsburg, N.M. area arrested a man on Friday, August 17, who is wanted for a suspected homicide in Omaha, Nebraska. Agents assigned to the Lordsburg Border Patrol station were patrolling the border in a remote area of southwestern New Mexico when they arrested a citizen of Mexico identified as 51-year-old Oscar Rosario Hernandez. CBP U.S. Border Patrol Agents Arrest International Homicide Suspect

Tucson, Ariz. - Last Friday, Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents apprehended an illegal immigrant wanted for homicide in Mexico.Ajo Station agents apprehended four individuals who entered the U.S. illegally. During processing, record checks revealed one of the men, Remigio Lopez-Alvarez, age 32, had an active homicide warrant from Chiapas, Mexico. (more)
