Hernán Rozemberg - Express-News Two years after it promised systemic improvements to the nation's immigration court system, the federal government has yet to enact major changes and has mired the courts further in controversy over political corruption, a new report unveiled today concluded.
The Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), a nonpartisan research think tank based at Syracuse University, determined that the Justice Department, which oversees immigration courts, has yet to fulfill a 22-point improvement plan laid out by former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales.
