You are correct! Jesus would never say that. He said: "GIVE UNTO CAESAR (Immigration laws) THAT WHICH BELONGS TO CAESAR." In other words, "Can you guys just stop laying illegal immigration on me? Come on, guys. That has nothing to do with going to Heaven. Illegal immigration is Caesar's domain. I ain't got nothing to do with that. Is it ok if we stick to the topic here?"
When Jesus was 12, he tore apart the synagogue that got swollen up by merchants, selling their wares. He was pissed. The synagogue was a house of worship, NOT A PLACE TO CONGREGATE AND SELL YOUR STUFF LIKE A FLEA MARKET.
If Jesus were alive today, he would tear up the Capitol (home of the US Congress).
