Man questioned in deadly boiler installation

PROVIDENCE — The police have found the man who, they say, installed or helped to install the boiler for a residential heating system that is implicated in the deaths of three people from carbon-monoxide poisoning.

He is Alex Menendez-Mendez, 23, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala, Maj. Stephen Campbell, commander of the Police Department Investigative Division, said yesterday.

In an interview with detectives, Menendez-Mendez “admitted that he … did in some way participate in the installation,â€

Same thing happened in my mom's house years ago. When I found out the contractor had used an illegal alien to install it, I called in the gas company to check things over. It was improperly installed and a tragedy waiting to happen. Pipes were reverse, which would have caused an explosion.

These illegals have NO IDEA what they are doing when it comes to plumbing! Think about it people, many of them don't even HAVE plumbing in their countries!! Many will lie (big surprise here, huh?) when asked if they know how to do a job and say yes!

ALWAYS have a professional double check your contractors work BEFORE you pay him! You can tell the contractor used illegal aliens when shoddy work is exposed! It's not worth dying over.
