The Texas governor was heckled Thursday by protestors over his stance on immigration at a campaign stop in Charlotte, North Carolina. To be fair, it wasn’t like Rick Perry encountered throngs of angry masses - it was more like a handful of white folks holding up signs saying “Rick Perry: Endorsed by Mexico.â€

Of course, should Perry survive all these attacks - and manage to win the GOP nomination - his position on illegal immigrants might actually put him in a stronger position for the general election.

The "Monitor" loves their little Illegals ..... There Is No basis In fact to this statement, and their are not enough "HISPANICS" on earth that will affect an election one way or another
WHITE INDEPENDENT MIDDLE CLASS CITIZENS are where these elections are either won or lost.
Perry will NEVER get the G.O.P nomination anyway, even though media spin outlets like the "Monitor" would like to see him do so because they feel he would be more "open" to OPEN BORDERS than most of his opponents ... TS

Rick Perry apologizes for ‘heartless’ comment on immigration question

An apologetic Texas Gov. Rick Perry says his use of the word 'heartless' was inappropriate to describe individuals who refused to provide discounted college tuition to illegal immigrants. In an exclusive Newsmax.TV interview, Perry says he is against building a border fence--except in metropolitan areas—to stop illegal immigration.

Perry: "Perry: "I Don't Think You Have a Heart" If You Oppose In-State Tuition for Children of Illegal Immigrants

"If you say that we should not educate children who come into our state for no other reason than that they've been brought their through no fault of their own, I don't think you have a heart," Perry said. "We need to be educating these children because they will become a drag on our society. I think that's what Texans wanted to do. Out of 181 members of the Texas legislature when this issue came up [there were] only four dissenting votes. This was a state issue. Texas voted on it. And I still support it today."
