Rideshare Driver Accused of Kidnapping and Assaulting Minor is Illegal from Guinea Released at Border by Biden Administration

An illegal immigrant rideshare driver has been charged with kidnapping and raping a minor in Maryland.

According to Fox News, Abdoulaye Dia, who is in the country illegally from Guinea, has a history of sex abuse in New York.

Officials in Montgomery County, Maryland, shared that Dia has been charged with first-degree rape, kidnapping, second-degree assault, and third-degree sex offense. Officials also believe there may be other victims.

According to the county, police officers went to an area hospital for the report of a rape and spoke with a teenage victim who is under the age of 18.

The victim told officers that Dia, an Empower ride share driver, drove her to a parking lot in Silver Spring, where the assault allegedly occurred.

Special Victims Investigations Division detectives were able to identify Dia from information obtained from the rideshare app.

Per Fox News:

Dia was previously arrested June 10 in New York City for sexual abuse by forcible compulsion, forcible touching of the sexual/intimate parts of another person, injuring a child less than 17 and sexual abuse without consent, a DHS spokesperson told Fox News.

He entered the United States illegally through Arizona in December 2023 and was released by the Biden administration, DHS said.

Fox News Bill Melugin noted, “DHS says Abdoulaye Dia of Lanham crossed the border illegally into Lukevilke, AZ on December 21, 2023 (one of the days my team and I were there doing live shots showing masses of African men crossing illegally), but was released into the U.S. by Border Patrol.”

“Dia was arrested by NYPD on June 10th for sexual abuse by forcible compulsion, forcible touching – sexual/intimate parts of another person, injure child less than 17, and sexual abuse without consent.”

Dia is currently being held without bond at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit.
