Rifles, grenades seized during Matamoros arrests

The Mexican Navy announced in a press release Friday that authorities arrested two men who claimed to be Gulf Cartel operatives in Matamoros after acting on a tip.

Marines acting on a tip that armed men were at a house arrested Jose Guadalupe Baldreas-Roque and Saldivar Jesus Menses, who told Marines they are members of the Gulf Cartel, the press release said.
The men were arrested at the home and were in possession of 11 rifles, three handguns, ammunition, grenades, military-style uniforms and a truck with four containers full of gasoline, according to the release.
