Nogales, Ariz. - After a Customs and Border Protection canine alerted to a non-factory floor compartment in a vehicle at the Dennis DeConcini Port Friday, CBP officers found more than 36 pounds of cocaine, worth close to $332,000, and approximately 37 pounds of methamphetamine, valued at $578,000. Local Men Arrested Attempting to Smuggle Nearly $169,000 in Meth and Cocaine

San Luis, Ariz. -Two local men were arrested in connection with separate attempts Saturday to smuggle more than nine pounds of methamphetamine and nearly three pounds of cocaine through the San Luis Port. San Diego CBP Officers Find 637 Pounds of Marijuana in Bus

San Ysidro, Calif. - U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the San Ysidro port of entry over the weekend discovered 637 pounds in a commercial bus.At about 12 p.m., August 26, CBP officers encountered a 56-year old male Mexican citizen driving a 1999 commercial bus as he waited in line to enter the United States. Douglas, Ariz. - Two local residents were arrested over the weekend for allegedly attempting to smuggle more than $238,000 worth of marijuana through the Douglas Port of Entry.U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers referred Guadalupe Celeste Carrillo, 19, of Pirtleville, for inspection of her Chevrolet sedan when she attempted to enter the United States Friday. West Palm Beach, Fla. - On August 23, Lynx Jones, a Bahamian citizen, was sentenced to 18 months incarceration, 48 months supervised release, and charged a $100 special assessment for violation of Title 21 United States Code, Section 952, Importation of a Controlled Substance, namely marijuana in excess of 100 kilograms. Baltimore - Customs and Border Protection officers at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) seized $30,000 Friday from a Nigerian man for violating federal currency reporting regulations.The passenger, who arrived to BWI from London and was destined for Baltimore, repeatedly declared possessing only $9,000.
