VISTA, Calif. -- A man and woman from Carlsbad suspected of making and selling counterfeit driver licenses were under arrest Saturday, authorities said.

Kimberly Morris and Ryan Israel were taken into custody by sheriff's deputies Friday, sheriff's Lt. Dennis Brugos said.

The arrests culminated an investigation that began nine months ago when Lamppost Pizza -- a micro-brewery in the Krikorian movie complex -- and other businesses started giving deputies counterfeit licenses they confiscated, Brugos said.

Investigators tracked the licenses to a Morris and Israel, roommates who allegedly created and sold the cards for up to $125 each, Brugos said.

Booking information was not immediately available.
