Rosary held for Border Patrol agent

A private rosary for Senior Border Patrol agent Luis Aguilar Jr., who was struck and killed by a vehicle that entered the country illegally Jan. 19 near Yuma, Ariz., was held Sunday.
An honor guard posted colors about 4 p.m., followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28 at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 2301 Zanzibar. A procession from the church to Mount Carmel Cemetery, 401 S. Zaragosa, will follow.

Aguilar Jr., 32, a graduate of El Paso High School, was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by a suspected drug smuggler, as he was putting spike strips in the path of a Hummer and Ford pickup that entered the country illegally.
