Not so fast, they still support amnesty for illegal aliens and open borders.

    Adios
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

it's a shame , before this entire illegal immigration debate started he used to be a fair and open minded reporter ...

but as soon as SB 1070 came to light , it was like some switch went on inside of him ... he completely ingnored the other side of the debate in his articles , not only that but he just went OUT THERE , making it seem that if you didn't support the open borders, everyone in the freaking world come live here ,view point that you were racist ...

i'm not sad to see him go ...

Well well, this is news. Read the UT was going to make changes to their paper, guess he was part of the 'change.' Do not appreciate being called a racist just because I want our laws enforced. Wonder if their editorial page will be much different though? We'll see.

Thank the S.D.U.T. for getting rid of him, because he is a racist who hates White people.

(Don't mention that you don't live in San Diego and don't buy their paper.)

You mean it's not just the whites who are racist?

Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, and their friend (illegal aliens) must be overcome to hear this about one of their own.

    Forward on arts, immigration

I have received many letters in the past two weeks about the changes in our staffing of the visual arts and opinion pages at the Union-Tribune.

Rather than print them all here, I’d like to use this space to acknowledge the concerns and sense of loss that I see in them, and to reassure you about the course the paper is taking.

Many of the letters are touching and heartfelt, particularly with regard to two of our departing writers, Robert Pincus and Ruben Navarrette.

Robert, a Ph.D. and visiting professor at the University of San Diego, covered arts for the U-T in two stints, dating to 1985. Ruben, a syndicated columnist and an expert on immigration issues, joined the paper as an editorial writer in 2005.

Each, in their way, was a voice beloved by worthy people championing important causes.

    Here is a sample:

    • “I have taken great pleasure in reading Bob’s reviews for many years. His writing is informative, insightful, and always offers a fresh perspective. He not only reviewed exhibitions at established institutions, he was always looking for new, unknown galleries in surprising locations. It was intriguing to read about artists as their work matured and changed over the years. But he also would champion young, emerging artists which is so important in order to nurture a healthy and vital arts community.â€
    NO AMNESTY

Don't reward the criminal actions of millions of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship.

Quote from the article - "We continue to support immigration reform that creates a path to citizenship for longtime immigrants and that fosters their successful assimilation into American life."

Happy Ruben N. is gone but it seems the SDUT still supports Comprehensive Immigration Reform and a Path to Citizenship for ILLEGALS; of course these terms are Elitist code for Blanket Amnesty.
