The Rule of Law Is Based On Numbers
James Atticus Bowden

The Rule of Law is based on the numbers of men and women of good will who obey the Rule of Law. The Rule of Law is diminished and, ultimately, destroyed when too many men and women reject the spirit of the law and refuse the letter of the law. The Rule of Law has been threatened in the United States of America since 1962 when the judiciary, lead by the Supreme Court (SCOTUS), seized un-Constitutional power. 1962 is a convenient demarcation for SCOTUS aggressively making up laws from the bench.

It’s gotten progressively worse with more legislative and executive powers seized by judges and unchallenged by legislators and executives throughout the federal system of governments. The impeachment of President Clinton was a clear indication that the majority of the United States Senate thought so little of the Rule of Law that they failed to do their duty and hold a trial. The failure of the legislature and governor of Florida to stop a local judge from ordering the killing of Terry Schiavo illustrated the impotence of weak men who won’t use their power to put the Rule of Law over the Rule of Judges . SCOTUS’s Kelo case’s eminent domain decisions was a direct rejection of the 5th Amendment - saying the words of the Amendment don’t mean what they say – indicating the Rule of Law is failing fast.

President Bush’s two appointments to SCOTUS may help swing the pendulum away from Judicial Tyranny, but the Nation is still short one Justice of a constructionist majority. The Rule of Law begins with the number 5 – for 5 justices who don’t make up laws to the Rule Over the Laws.

Illegal Immigration may decide if the Nation, as described in Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, will die sooner rather than later. Government of the people, by the people, for the people, can only exist under the Rule of Law.

If the current Immigration laws on the books are not enforced then the Rule of Law is mocked. The Rule of Law requires a minimum number of 1 – for 1 President who will enforce the borders and maintain our sovereignty against a illegal immigrant invasion.

The Senate voted for the ‘Shamnesty’ Bill to let illegal aliens make us a Nation of scofflaws, not laws. The Senate is at least 10 senators short of the 51 vote majority to uphold and defend the Constitution. The Rule of Law requires at least 10 more Conservative conscience senators.

The House has a slim majority – enough to support Impeachment when the Chief Executive lies to a grand jury and enough to support closing the borders first and foremost to protect national sovereignty. The Rule of Law requires keeping enough of the same brave souls in the People’s House.

It takes a different number of voters to keep the Rule of Law alive – election by election. From school board to President of the United States, the basic number must be one greater than the second- vote getter. In some parts of the country, the Rule of Law needs to be re-established. Massachusetts, with its Supreme Court’s black-robed priest-kings 3-2 ruling to impose Homosexual Marriage, comes readily to mind.

The last number of great importance – and there are many significant numbers left unmentioned in this piece – is how many men will serve to fight in the Armed Services. The Rule of Law needs a basic number of brave citizens to bear arms to “defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.”

The Rule of Law requires, as it did in 1776 and 1861, enough Patriots, under arms in the field or serving at the hearth, placing personal and family safety and survival at a total risk to pledge their “life, liberty, and sacred honor” on written principles. If a third of 300 million Americans – 100 million men, women and children, young and old – are such Patriots, then the Rule of Law can be preserved – no matter what.

jimpasz ,

There is a quote, which I vaguely remember, and for which I've searched since reading the article. Can't find it, but maybe someone here can help.

Paraphrased,

Rulers rule, only with consent of the ruled.
TIME'S UP!

Why should only AMERICAN CITIZENS and LEGAL immigrants, have to obey the law?!
