Rush: 'Quite Telling' Fox Didn't Want Me to Criticize Immigration Reform

Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh said on Tuesday that it was "quite telling" that Fox News did not want him to talk at length about his opposition to comprehensive immigration reform during his appearance on Fox and Friends.

"Now I told the people at Fox that I wanted to talk about this today three or four times and they wouldn't do it," Limbaugh said on his show after his appearance. "They were not interested in bringing this subject up. I wanted to talk about this in relationship to the current state of the Republican party and they wouldn't do it."

Limbaugh said he "had to bring it up myself to whatever extent I did, and that by the way, is quite telling to me."

Limbaugh did indeed manage to get in some comments about immigration on the show, saying, "Republicans are sitting around twiddling their thumbs worried about immigration and whether the Hispanics like them or not and being skunked on issue after issue after issue."

He suggested that supporting comprehensive immigration reform would hardly be a panacea for Republicans in winning elections and that it would not win them Hispanic voters. Limbaugh warned that Republicans could lose the House in 2014, and if they do, "then there is no such thing as a lame duck last two years for Obama."

Limbaugh previously denounced the Senate's immigration bill two weeks ago on his radio show, saying that "there is a growing phenomenon in this country of crony capitalism taking place." He claimed "big money" is really behind the push for immigration reform.

He blistered proponents of comprehensive immigration and the Republican consultants that make up the permanent political class for not caring about American workers, Republicans, or the conservative movement. He suggested backers of comprehensive immigration reform only cared about what was good for the "big money" interests supporting and financing the bill.

Fox News IMO is pushing amnesty, O'Reilly is very forward about the issue saying congress will fix the loopholes however no one "fixed" the health care law so I certainly don't trust anyone in DC to fix Immigration. The news media is not our friend we must simply accept that and move on.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.
