Thursday night, agents of the 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit, with supporting personnel from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, and The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested three illegal aliens in the Forestbrook section of Horry County.

The DEU arrested the trio following an investigation into cocaine sales by these individuals by the Drug Enforcement Unit.

Agents seized more than 500 grams of cocaine, a vehicle and charged all three with Trafficking Cocaine more than 400 Grams.

All three defendants were transported to the J. Rueben Long Detention Center and are awaiting bond hearings.

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents placed a hold on all three defendants because of their illegal immigration status.

Agents charged Hector Misael Figueroa, Luis Arnando Figueroa, and Abdias Lopez Velazquez.

Can they post bond and be released with an ICE hold on them? They are a flight risk.

With apparent drug charges and illegal status, I would hope that someone would have the common sense to see they are a flight risk. Hold them, prosecute them and then deport them!

Why would bond ever be considered for an illegal?
